Those titles are at least available on Region 2 DVD, along with a few others, but not <em>Death by Hanging</em>. Really sad about New Yorker. Have you seen how much DVDs of, say, <em>Cyclo</em>, <em>Weekend</em>, and <em>La Belle Noiseuse</em> are going for lately on the secondary reseller market on Amazon? I am sure that a Criterion or Eclipse Oshima set is forthcoming; the PFA calendar thanks Janus/Criterion for permission to show <b><i>Cruel Story of Youth</b></i>, <b><i>Town of Love and Hope</b></i>, <i><b>Three Resurrected Drunkards</b></i>, <b><i>Night and Fog in Japan</b></i>, <b><i>Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence</b></i>, <b><i>the Sun's Burial</b></i>, <b><i>the Ceremony</b></i>, <b><i>A Treatise on Japanese Bawdy Song</b></i>, <b><i>Violence at Noon</b></i>, <b><i>Pleasures of the Flesh</b></i> and Double Suicide: Japanese Summer</b></i>. Some combination of these seem fairly likely to join <b><i>In the Realm of the Senses</b></i> and <b><i>Empire of Passion</b></i> as releases from one of the two imprints, though it may still be a ways off. Sadly, <b><i>Death By Hanging</b></i> is a New Yorker title, and I'm not sure what happens to the DVD rights to these titles now that the company has folded.
